Birdsong Therapy will be offering remote sessions only as long as that is determined best practices to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

 

Remote (or telemental health) sessions are shown to be as effective, if not more effective, than in-person talk therapy. There is evidence that folks feel more comfortable opening up when they are in a more familiar place of their choosing, there is also interesting theory around better integrating the gains of therapy when they take place in the client’s own space. 

 

When you book a session online, simply choose the “video office” option for location and a link will be provided. Nothing needs to be downloaded. 

 

Make sure you are in a private and comfortable space at the time of the session. If that means in your car for privacy or taking a walk for comfort, you are the expert of what is best for you.
